Our studio offers you morning, evening, sunday and private classes. In our studio we practice the following:
Yoga for Kids
Kids classes are broken into different groups based on the age of the children. Group 1 consists of kids ages 3-5, Group 2 ages 6 - 9, Group 3 ages 10-12. Yoga works wonders for children of all ages. Kids learn about animals, nature and basic anatomy through yoga. Yoga for Kids Ages 3 to 5 gives children the natural motivation to explore life, nature and their own personal boundaries. Introduce children to yoga in a clear, simple and safe way that makes it fun to do! Yoga for Kids Ages 6 to 12 helps growing children improve learning and social skills, increase muscular strength and learn basic anatomy in one easy lesson! All Classes for kids will include poses, yoga games, breathing techniques and relaxation.
Pre-natal Yoga
In these unique classes our teachers offer a carefully selected series of asanas (postures) and breathing techniques to restore balance and vitality while deepening your awareness of pregnancy. Concentration and relaxation techniques assist in preparing for and providing relief during labor and birth. Pre-natal yoga also helps relieve physical and emotional discomforts associated with pregnancy, including back pain, heartburn, constipation, swelling, and sleeplessness, depression, and anxiety.
Ayurveda (ancient Yoga medical practice)
Classes are avaliable in three levels:
Level I:
Step-by-step instruction is given on the fundamentals of body alignment through the basic Yoga poses. You will be intorduced to Yoga through learning standing, sitting and restorative poses. Emphasis is on flexibility, stability, strength, balance, relaxation practices and breathing techniques.
Level II:
Must be well practiced in Level I before attending this level. Standing, sitting, forward extension poses and Sarvangasana should be well established. Deeper and expanded study of the standing poses and basic postures. Head balance, shoulderstand variations, unsupported backbends.
Gentle/Senior Yoga:
Gentle yoga is an ideal place for many beginners to start who just want to take it slower. The focus is on warming up the body, and beginning to work the joints and glands. Relaxation practices and breathing techniques.
Please read the following before attending to classes:
Classes are ongoing. You can start anytime; we do not go by sessions.
Please respect yourself and others by arriving no later than 5 minutes before class starting time.
Please be sure to have an empty stomach for the class, no food intake 3-4 hours before the class.
Wear shorts or footless tights and have bare feet.
Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances.
Inform your teacher of any medical/physical conditions before you take class, not after.
Please turn off cell phones and pagers.
Please be courteous and place yoga mats and other material back to its place.
